Mark: Good The mainboard was built in a ready to go PC bought from stock.
Surprisingly, with ecs 2.0 nearly everything works from scratch, i.e. without fine tuning:
- onboard graphic, SATA hard disk, SATA DVD, USB, Audio, Power off.
- Only with LAN, I could not get further than to the first hub
with the driver rtgnd13.zip. On board there is a 8168B/8111 RTL Chip.
I inserted a RTL 8169 PCI card and everyting is fine now (both the native
and genmac driver work)
- CPU is a Pentium Dual E5700 with both kernels working with SMP.
I can not see why a faster Quad should not work. Of course, you need
the /SMP switch with ACPI.PSD.
