Q: Безопасно ли хранить сотни тысяч файлов на JFS файловой системе?

e-co: думали, что есть опасность. винчестеры с тысячами файлов вроде чаще чекаются. Была идея хранить мелкие файлы в контейнерах (например, тысяча мелких файлов в 1 большом файле). Но сложно управлять таким контейнером. И драйвер файловой системы занимается тем же. Итого, другого пути нет. нужно хранить все файлы как есть.

А насколько надёжно?? вот вопрос.. 2023/01

e-co: да, считаем, что безопасно хранить сотни тысяч файлов на JFS. Если переживаете, храните на разделах по 4 x 500 Gb, а не на 1 x 2 Tb. 2023/01/13
