El 29 de Septiembre, Duy Nguyen y Michel Normand han anunciado la versión beta 4.5h de F, la "navaja suiza" de los gestores de archivos. F es una aplicación freeware multiplataforma basada en modalidad de texto. Soporta los siguientes sistemas operativos: OS/2, AIX, BSD, Linux y Win32.
F no es solo un gestor de archivos altamente configurable, también ofrece un cliente FTP/FXP, un editor con realzado de sintaxis, muchas herramientas para desarrolladores, clientes de e-mail y news, asi como unos pequeЯos servidores HTTP y FTP. F posee su propio FFP (protocolo F a F) para transferencias de archivos y ejecución de archivos remota, proporcionando servicios para la administración remota. Tenga en cuenta que el interfaz del programa solo está basado en teclado.
Este es un release principal con arreglos del programa incorporados. Las nuevas características incluyen soporte para el sistema de archivos virtual (VFS).
